目前主要从事动物行为、植物基因组学、土壤微生物组学等相关研究。

主讲研究生课程《高寒草地生态学》等。

主持国家级项目3项，其中国家自然科学基金2项；省部级项目（课题）3项。以第一作者和通讯作者在《Ecological Informatics》《Environmental and Experimental Botany》《Plant and Soil》等主流期刊发表学术论文60余篇，其中SCI 20余篇。授权实用新型专利30多项，鉴定科研成果8个，制定标准3项。获青海省科技进步奖一等奖1项。
